Product Description
The Landtek CM8829S is a dual-probe (F/N) coating thickness gauge designed to measure both non-magnetic coatings on magnetic materials and non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metals. It supports Magnetic Induction and Eddy Current principles for a wide range of industrial and professional coating measurements.
This separate-type model offers enhanced flexibility by allowing probe changes for different surface shapes and materials. It supports single and continuous modes, Bluetooth connectivity (optional), and PC connectivity via USB/RS-232, making it ideal for use in automotive, manufacturing, painting, and QA environments.
Key Features
-
Two measurement principles: Magnetic Induction (F) and Eddy Current (N)
-
Supports Single and Continuous measurement modes
-
Metric (µm) and Imperial (mil) units convertible
-
Auto recognition of substrate type
-
Memory retention of last calibration value
-
Audible alerts in single mode (silent in continuous mode)
-
Data transfer via USB/RS-232 interface
-
Optional Bluetooth data output available
-
Separate-type design allows probe switching for flexible measurement on different surfaces
-
Manual and automatic power-off functions
Applications
F Type – Magnetic Induction (for magnetic base metals like steel):
Measures non-magnetic coatings such as:
-
Galvanizing
-
Lacquer and varnish
-
Porcelain enamel
-
Phosphate coatings
-
Coated aluminum and copper tiles
-
Some alloy and paper coatings
NF Type – Eddy Current (for non-magnetic base metals like aluminum or brass):
Measures non-conductive coatings such as:
-
Anodizing
-
Paint and varnish
-
Enamel
-
Plastic coatings
-
Powder coatings
-
Used on aluminum, brass, and non-magnetic stainless steel
